Gate House Mission Statement
The mission of The Gate House is to preserve, protect, and promote the rich history of this historic landmark, built in 1889, while fostering a sense of pride and connection within the Mansfield community.
Created by care for community and enhanced with vision and commitment,
the Save the Gate House at Smythe Park Committee started with an idea
inspired during discussions among a core group of area residents. Following
numerous meetings and research, the idea quickly evolved into an organization
with a vision and a determination to enhance the pride in our community by
preserving and enhancing the neglected historic Gate House at Smythe Park.
